Music provided by local bands City Tribe, Travis Hayes, and John Courage and The Great Plains. Free with RSVP.City TribeA blend of California style rock and folk, City Tribe layers acoustic and electric elements slathered with lush vocal harmonies. The result is music that is both rich and soothing. The expression in their vocals lead the listener across a viscous, dynamic sound-scape woven with sugar sweet harmonies, tasteful bass lines and sparkling electric-guitar vignettes. Snapshots of intricate moments.Travis HayesSan Francisco transplant, Northern California singer/songwriter Travis Hayes has been sharing his direct and heartfelt storytelling for nearly a decade. In addition to writing and performing with his band, he spends his free time drinking whiskey and riding public transit through the late night hours.John Courage and The Great PlainsBorn from the mind of a wild eyed teen a decade ago, John Courage has been learning how to be a songwriter the old fashioned way. But even after countless bar gigs and hours put in at unassuming day jobs, there is still the spark of something innocent and full of wonder at the magic of communicating through song. The sound has varied over the years, if not wildly, then to say it has been directed by change, trying to get to the core of the sound that inspired a life in music. At times it has been country, at times folk, and most recently a return to rock and roll roots.
